Several New Businesses Coming to Downtown Wheaton

A new bagel shop, running store and a couple cafes are coming to downtown Wheaton.

WHEATON, IL - A fair trade retail shop and a new bagel shop are among the new businesses opening soon in downtown Wheaton.

The Daily Herald included a round-up of those businesses in a recent article. Among the businesses that are planning to open soon are:

  • County Farm Bagels, which currently has a location in Winfield, is expected to open at 118 N Main St. by the second week in October. The bagel shop takes the place of Pamplemousse Bakery, which closed on Aug. 28, after serving up macaroons and other sweet treats for two years, according to the Daily Herald. The business serves bagels, muffins, cookies and homemade cream cheese.
  • My Half of the Sky is planning to open at 121 W. Wesley Street in Wheaton. Profits from the coffee bar and retail shop will help raise money for human trafficking victims and low-income families locally and around the world, according to the Daily Herald.
  • OMG! Cafe, which currently has a location in Elmhurst, will be opening a second fast casual “healthy cafe” at 390 W Front St. The cafe will offer an array of healthy options for breakfast and lunch. The Wheaton location will feature made-to-order egg dishes, artisanal grab-and-go items, and homemade bakery items, as well as fresh smoothies and a full espresso bar. An opening date for the Wheaton cafe has not yet been announced.
  • Naperville Running Company is planning to open its third location in Wheaton before the holidays, according to the Daily Herald.
