SEX OFFENDER MAP: Homes To Watch In Wheaton This Halloween

There are 52 sex offenders in Wheaton listed on the Illinois Sex Offender Registry. Find out where.

Wheaton currently has 52 registered sex offenders listed on the Illinois Sex Offender Registry.

Eighteen are currently living in the community, 28 are incarcerated in the Illinois Department of Corrections or DuPage County Jail.

Authorities say that four sex offenders are homeless and two are missing. All six are considered “sex predators.”

Registered sex offenders are prohibited from passing out candy on Halloween. They may not appear in a Halloween costume or other child-centered holiday character, such as Santa or the Easter Bunny, in public. Registered sex offenders, however, may wear a Halloween costume in their home, according to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Department also maintains a registry, where DuPage County residents can search for offenders living in their area.
