Sheriff's Office Creates Sanitation Station To Fight Coronavirus
"We hope this service truly gives officers a little more peace of mind during this stressful time," DuPage Sheriff James Mendrick said.
DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — At press time, there have been no cases of the new coronavirus at DuPage County Jail. The DuPage Count Sheriff's Office is hoping to keep things that way by creating a squad car sanitation station for squad cars.
The new sanitation station comes after White Glove Sanitation Chemicals in Wood Dale donated a 55-gallon drum of sanitation solution to the sheriff's office. The 55-gallon drum has a pump that lets officers squeeze solution onto a rag that can be used to wipe down squad cars. Officers also have access to a spray bottle for surfaces they need to spray.

DuPage County Jail Reduces Population As Coronavirus Precaution
DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick said in a statement, "We couldn’t be more thankful for this timely and generous donation that supports not only the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office but also all of our municipal partners throughout the DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association This allows us to freely decontaminate squad cars during the peak time of this viral spread, when it’s most important. We hope this service truly gives officers a little more peace of mind during this stressful time."
