Sprint Store in Wheaton Burglarized, 20 Apple Electronic Items Stolen

The Sprint store at 316 E. Geneva Road was burglarized during the early morning hours of Nov. 26.

Two burglars broke into a Sprint store in Wheaton in recent weeks and stole 20 electronic Apple products.

Two men, who were either black or Hispanic, broke a window at the store, located at 316 E. Geneva Road, at about 3:39 a.m. on Nov. 26 and stole the electronics. They then fled the area.

Wheaton Police also received a criminal damage to property report at the Sprint store. Cracks were found in the glass of the entry door window and were made by an “unknown tool,” according to a Wheaton Police Department report. The criminal damage reportedly occurred between Nov. 23 and Nov. 25.

Also between 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 23, an unknown person covered the outside security cameras at the Verizon Wireless, 143 Danada Square, with an unknown substance.

It’s unclear if these incidents are related.
