Storms, Heavy Rain in Forecast Today

Thunderstorms and heavy rain is expected throughout the day Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for counties throughout the Chicago area for Tuesday. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms may produce very heavy rain, localized flooding and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.

Thunderstorms are expected throughout the day Tuesday with the highest chance of thunderstorms expected tonight shifting south of Interstate 80, according to the NWS.

‘’Waves of showers and thunderstorms are expected through tonight,” according to the NWS.

After a week of high temperatures, temps are expected to drop this week. Temps will be in the lower 80s Tuesday and in the 70s and 60s for the rest of the week.
