'Possible Human Remains' Found At Wheaton Cemetery: Police
Employees called police after they found "bones and decayed remains" outside the cemetery's burial plot area.
WHEATON, IL — Possible human remains have been discovered at Wheaton Cemetery, according to Wheaton Police. Police say they were called to the cemetery Wednesday night after employees found "bones and decayed remains" outside the burial plot area.
According to a post on social media Wednesday night, evidence technicians were "processing the area" as part of an investigation.
Police added that residents that there was no threat to the community.

The remains have been given to the DuPage County Coroner's Office to be identified. The Wheaton Police Department is working with the DuPage County Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigation Team (MERIT) to investigate the incident further.
