Terms Set For Newly Elected DuPage County Board Members

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — A lottery was held Tuesday to designate how long each of the 18 newly elected DuPage County Board members.

The lottery comes after redistricting for the county board to make sure terms are distributed fairly between the districts. The 10-year terms are doled out as follows for each district:

• One member serves four years, then four years, then two years
• A second member serves four years, then two years, then four years
• A third member serves two years, then four years, then four years

After Tuesday's lottery, the following terms were assigned:

District 1

• Michael Childress and Sam Tornatore: four-year terms
• Cindy Cronin Cahill: two-year term

District 2

• Paula Deacon Garcia and Yeena Yoo: four-year terms
• Liz Chaplin: two-year term

District 3

• Kari Galassi and Brian Krajewski: four-year terms
• Lucy Chang Evans: two-year term

District 4

• Grant Eckhoff and Mary FitzGerald Ozog: four-year terms
• Lynn LaPlante: two-year term

District 5

• Sadia Covert and Dawn DeSart: serve four-year terms
• Patty Gustin: two-year term

District 6

• Sheila Rutledge and Jim Zay: four-year terms
• Greg Schwarze: two-year term
