Thousands Stolen During Ruse Burglary In Wheaton
Police say two men came to a home in the 100 block of Park Circle under the guise of spraying for insects and then stole $5,000 in cash.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police say two men stole $5,000 in cash from an apartment in the 100 block of Park Circle Wednesday after posing as workers who needed to spray for insects.
The victim told police the men came to the apartment around 1 p.m. and that one man told them the building's manager asked them to spray the apartment because a neighbor had complained of bugs. Police say the man distracted the resident while another man entered the home and stole cash.
The men were driving what police have described as a "small black sports car."
