#Top3Thursday at Wheaton Park District: December 8, 2016

Cook for Christmas, make crafts in Santa's workshop, and hop aboard for the North Pole next week.

1. Cooking for Christmas. The holiday season is full of cherished memories: decorating the tree, watching the first snowfall, and baking Christmas cookies. At Christmas Cooking, December 12, 4-5:30P at the Wheaton Park District Community Center (1777 S. Blanchard St.), make reindeer cupcakes with pretzel antlers, Christmas cookies, a polar snack mix, and yummy hot chocolate complete with chocolate kisses. Parents, please join your child for the last 15 minutes. Ages 4 to 12. Instructor is Linda Jones. Register online.

2. Santa's little helpers. We know holiday shopping is stressful, and we're here to help. With Santa's Workshop for Tykes on December 14, moms and dads can do last-minute shopping while children have fun making keepsake holiday crafts at Toohey Park (1900 Orchard Rd.). All supplies included. Ages 4 to 7. Instructors are Miss Tena and Miss Dina. Register online for 9A-11P or 1-3P, December 14.

3. Party at the North Pole. Right now, Santa's the busiest guy in the world, but he'll always make time to visit good girls and boys! At North Pole Party Express, December 16, 6-9P, hop aboard for a magical journey of imagination to the North Pole. Wear your favorite pajamas and listen to the classic story by Chris Van Allsburg, then write a letter to Santa, have a cookie and hot chocolate, and see the Big Man himself. Punch your ticket at the Wheaton Park District Community Center (1777 S. Blanchard St.). Ages 2 to 8. Register online.
