#Top3Thursday at Wheaton Park District: January 26, 2017

Grandstand the bandstand, stay frosty, and learn about laughter next week.

1. Grandstand the bandstand. The only thing that makes live music better is when it's free. With Afternoon Bandstand Featuring: The Laurie Dean Dancers on January 29, 3-5P, join us for a fun ninety minutes of your favorite "oldies but goodies." Dance along or just sit back and enjoy the show. This free event is held at the Wheaton Park District Community Center (1777 S. Blanchard St.). For ages 12 and up. No registration or fee required.

2. Stay frosty. Winter's no good reason to stay inside; let's play outside together! At Nature Tots: Frosty Fun on February 1, we'll do activities, experiments, and games that show us just why ice and snow are special. Remember to wear your warmest winter gear! This program is held at the Girl Scout Cabin within Northside Park (1300 N. West St.). For ages 3 to 5. Register online for the 10-11A session or the 1-2P session.

3. Learn about laughter. Humor really can make the world a better place! Lisa Lombardi Coaching has partnered with a Second City graduate to create The Science of Comedy, a hilarious workshop. Through observation and lab experimentation, this high-energy comedy class offers electrifying lessons on stand-up, gag, slapstick, comic strips, witty situational, and ventriloquism. This four-week class (starting January 31) will also teach kids when comedy's taken too far. The Science of Comedy is held 6-7:30P on Tuesday evening at the Wheaton Park District Community Center (1777 S. Blanchard St.). For ages 7 to 12. Register online.
