Traffic Stop Leads To Ammo Bust On Butterfield Road

Wheaton police discovered shotgun shells in a Dodge Ram pickup truck during a traffic stop for speeding, reports said.

Steven R. Duffin was charged with possession of ammunition without a FOID card, speeding 60/45 and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Duffin was pulled over near Butterfield and Orchard Roads around 1 a.m. Jan. 24.

Officers found yellow 20 gauge shotgun shells in his truck.

Duffin was released on his own recognizance. He is due in court on March 4.
