Unlocked Cars Burglarized In Wheaton: Cops

Police say the burglaries took place near Naperville Road and Danada Drive.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police are investigating a series of car burglaries that took place between Dec. 23 and Dec. 24. Police say the cars that were targeted had been left unlocked.

The burglaries were committed near Naperville Road and Danada Drive. Police say that one burglary involved using a garage door found in an unlocked car to enter a garage and search for more valuables.

In the wake of the burglaries, police are reminding residents to keep their cars locked and to keep valuables in the trunk or inside their homes.
