Volunteers Sought To Clean Prairie Path In Wheaton

The annual event is open to residents of all ages.

WHEATON, IL -- After the windy weather of winter and the rainstorms of early spring, the Wheaton Environmental Improvement Commission is looking for volunteers to help with cleanup along Prairie Path. Families and people of all ages are invited to take part in the annual Prairie Path Cleanup, which scheduled for April 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

If you plan on volunteering for the cleanup, head to Prairie Path at Lincoln Avenue west of Gary on the day of the event. Trash bags will be provided, but participants should bring their own work gloves to the event.

Organizers for the cleanup note that businesses and groups are also welcome to come help with getting Prairie Path ready for the warmer months.
