Voter Registration Assistance For Elderly, Disabled In DuPage

DuPage County offers "in-home" voter registration and other assistance for elderly and disabled residents for the March 20 primaries.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — Voters who are elderly or disabled will have access to special assistance with registration and voting for DuPage County's upcoming March 20 primaries. The county's election commission will provide in-home voter registration in addition to mail-in ballots for voters who have difficulty getting to their polling places.

A press release from the county reminded voters that, "All eligible registered voters, including those who are physically unable to get to their polling place, are entitled to receive a ballot by mail or in person." Voters have until March 15 to request a mail-in ballot.

Early voting at The Election Commission Office begins Feb. 8 and ends March 15. Residents can also cast an early vote via one of the county's early voting sites March 5-19.

Polling places will permit assistance with ballots for voters who need help marking their votes. Election judges, friends, or relatives may assist at early voting sites and on election day.
