Watching Film Of 'Naked Children' Gets Ex-Wheaton College Professor 3 Years In Prison: Police

Donald Ratcliff, 66, formerly of Warrenville, was sentenced to three years after he was caught downloading a film of naked children.

WHEATON, IL — A former Wheaton College professor who was on probation for child pornography charges has been sentenced to three years in prison after "downloading a movie featuring images of naked children," according to police. Donald Ratcliff, 66, formerly of Warrenville, was convicted of violating his parole on June 8.

Ratcliff had originally been sentenced to 48 months of sex offender probation in 2014 after he was convicted of felony possession of child pornography. On May 18, 2017, police discovered that Ratcliff had visited a website "containing sexually stimulating images of minors." After Ratcliff's sentence, DuPage County State's Attorney General said, "As one of the conditions of his probation, Mr. Ratcliff was ordered by the Court not to possess or view any material deemed sexually stimulating. Simply put, he could not help himself and soon found himself viewing the same type of repulsive images that had already earned him forty-eight months of probation.”
