Weapon, Assault Charges For Wheaton Man After Domestic Dispute: Cops
Police say Nacurvie K. Smith, 56, was illegally armed during a domestic dispute on Sterling Circle Saturday afternoon.

WHEATON, IL — A Wheaton man was arrested Saturday after police say he was armed during a domestic dispute on Sterling Circle.
Nacurvie K. Smith, 56, was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon in connection with the incident.
Police were called to an apartment in the 0-100 block of Sterling Circle around 2 p.m. Saturday for a report of a domestic dispute that involved a firearm. As a precaution, residents in the building were advised to shelter in place.

Wheaton Deputy Cheif P.J. Youker told Patch the incident lasted about 1.5 hours, with officers remaining at the scene for longer. No injuries were reported, per Youker.
Smith is currently being held in DuPage County Jail on $5,000 bond.
