Bike Wheaton Festival Returns This Weekend

Bike Wheaton Festival will be held Saturday.

The Wheaton Bicycle Advisory Committee is bringing back the Bike Wheaton Festival on Saturday, Aug. 13.

This celebration of cycling for the whole family will include a bike parade, trick cycling demonstrations and more. No registration is required for this free event.

Activities include:

  • Family bike parade at 10 a.m., beginning and ending at Memorial Park. All participants must wear helmets. Judges will award prizes for the most creatively decorated bikes in the parade.
  • Trick cycling demonstrations
  • Wheaton Police Department bike rodeo
  • Bicycle registration with the Wheaton Police Department
  • Free bike helmets for children, provided by the Wheaton Elks Lodge
  • Collection of used bikes for Working Bikes, an organization that repairs and donates bikes to people in need of transportation locally or in underprivileged areas
  • Live DJ
  • Family activities and cycling information booths
