West Chicago Man Charged With Stabbing Roommate To Death
Police say they found a steak knife with "apparent blood" on it in a garbage can and that the victim was stabbed more than 30 times.

WEST CHICAGO, IL — A West Chicago man faces murder charges after police say he stabbed his roommate to death with a steak knife. Frank Rosas, 29, of the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue, had bond set at $1 million after he was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jose Alonso-Lopez, 56.
According to police, Rosas came to the West Chicago Police Department on March 22 and said he had killed his roommate. When police got to the scene, they found Alonso-Lopez's body wrapped in a blanket in his own bed.
Police say they found "large amounts of blood on the mattress and floor surrounding the bed" and found a steak knife with "apparent blood on the handle" in a trash can outside the home.
