Wheaton Drug Sales Investigation Nets 2 Arrests
A woman is charged with selling a controlled substance containing ecstasy and a man faces charges for weapons violations.

A 21-year-old Glendale Heights woman has been charged with selling a controlled substance that contained ecstasy following an investigation by the Wheaton Police Department.
Bond was set at $50,000 for Jacqueline Martinez, of 1384 Davine Drive in Glendale Heights, following her arrest on Nov. 17. Martinez was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance containing Ecstasy-less than 200 pills, which is a Class X felony.
Authorities also arrested Maurice R. Truss, 27, of 819 E. 45th St. in Chicago, in connection with the drug sales investigation, according to police. Truss is a gang member and was subsequently charged with possession of a firearm by a street gang member (loaded firearm) and two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (loaded firearm-Class 2 felonies) after two loaded firearms were recovered during the arrest, according to a press release from the Wheaton Police Department.

Truss’s bond was set at $100,000.
