Wheaton Fire Department Donates $2K To Fight Muscular Dystrophy

Firefighters raised more than $2,000 in this year's Fill the Boot campaign.

WHEATON, IL --- The Wheaton Fire Department has done its part to give a little extra this holiday season by raising money to help those fighting muscular dystrophy and ALS. The fire department recently announced that it raised $2,239 to donate to MDA research during its Fill the Boot campaign in October.

In a press release, MDA Development Coordinator Tori Jobski praised the efforts of the Wheaton Fire Department. Jobski said, "The members of the Wheaton Fire Department have once again shown their immense dedication and care for MDA’s families during this year’s Fill the Boot campaign."

Jobski added, "This year’s Fill the Boot was a success, and we are grateful for the generosity of those in the Wheaton community who have helped individuals with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases truly live unlimited.”
