Wheaton Fun Run In Color Info, Road Closures
The Wheaton Fun Run In Color kicks off April 14 at 9 a.m. at Memorial Park.

WHEATON, IL — Downtown Wheaton's streets will be filled with bursts of colorful powder for the park district's Fun Run in Color Race on Saturday April 14. Hundreds of runners and walkers are expected to take part in the annual untimed race, which means some roads will be temporarily closed on the day of the event.
The race will feature four color stations throughout the path at which runner's can get doused with bright hues of non-toxic, biodegradable powder. Part of the proceeds for the race will be donated to benefit Play for All Playground and Garden, a 40-acre accessible playground with sensory experiences that include a fragrance garden and a sound garden.
The Wheaton Fun Run In Color will kick off at 9 a.m. at Memorial Park, 208 W. Union Ave.

The following roads will be closed temporarily on April 14 from around 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.:
- Jefferson Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to West Street
- Karlskoga Avenue from Hale Street to Wheaton Avenue
- Lincoln Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to West Street
- Madison Avenue from Cross Street to West Street
- North Main Street from Seminary Avenue to Harrison Avenue
- Prairie Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to West Street
- Union Avenue from West Street to Main Street
- West Street from Northside Park to Seminary Avenue
- Wheaton Avenue from Prairie Avenue to Wesley Street
Wheaton officials note that pre-event and post-event activities will close Karlskoga Avenue between Wheaton Avenue and Hale Street will be closed from 8 p.m. on April 13 to 11:30 a.m. on April 14.
