Wheaton Police Chief to Retire
Wheaton Police Chief Mark W. Field has worked for the police department for the past 24 years.

Wheaton Police Chief Mark W. Field has notified the City of Wheaton that he will be retiring on Nov. 7, 2015.
Chief Field has worked for the City of Wheaton Police Department in several capacities during his 24 years of service to the City. Chief Field served as the Deputy Police Chief for four years (1991-1995).
He was appointed acting Police Chief in December 1995, following the retirement of then-Police Chief Karl Dobbs. Chief Field was appointed to the Chief of Police position in March 1996 and has served in that capacity for the past 19 years.
Wheaton City Manager Donald B. Rose praised Chief Field for his 24 years of service to the City and for the leadership he provided to the Department over his 19 years as Chief of Police. ”

“Chief Field’s leadership will be missed following his retirement, and we are fortunate that he will be leaving a department that is well-qualified and dedicated to providing police services to Wheaton residents. I wish Chief Field the best of luck as he enters a new phase of his life,” Rose said.
