Wheaton Police Investigate Suspicious Incident
Two children were walking when a white female in her late teens motioned them over to her vehicle, police said.

Wheaton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspicious individual following an incident that occurred last week.
Two children were reportedly walking in the area of South President and East Elm streets at about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday when they were approached by a white female in her late teens who was driving either a black or dark blue sedan, according to a Wheaton Police Department press release.
The driver allegedly yelled to the children and motioned for them to come over to her vehicle, according to the news release.

An area homeowner intervened and the vehicle left, police said.

Following the incident, the Wheaton Police Department is strongly encouraging residents to call 9-1-1 immediately to report suspicious persons, vehicles or situations.
