Wheaton Police Respond To False Gunman Report At Theater
Police are still investigating the source of the phone call.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police got a call Monday reporting a man with a gun at a movie theater, but the call proved to be a false alarm. The incident took place at approximately 11 p.m. at Studio Movie Grill in Rice Lake Square.
Wheaton police officers were joined by law enforcement from nearby suburbs in searching the theater. Once they identified the suspect, police determined that the person did not have a gun.
Police say they are investigating the source of the call and that the public is not in any danger.
