Residents who live near Northside Park may hear simulated gunfire Friday as "Chicago Fire" films nearby, using "blanks."

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton residents who live near Northside Park are advised not to be alarmed, as they may hear simulated gunfire Friday when "Chicago Fire" films nearby, an update from city officials said.

Actors will be filming scenes in the Boy Scout cabin that is located in Northside Park, according to Daily Herald.

Filming is expected to start at 5 p.m. and last through the night, with the simulated gunfire planned for a "short period of time" during an action sequence, according to the update.

Officials say the on-set weapons will use "blanks" instead of real ammunition. Part of Northside Park will be cordoned off and security will be on site while "Chicago Fire" films.
