OSWEGO TOWNSHIP, IL -- A 50-year-old Michigan man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly fleeing the scene of a DUI crash that injured a Wheaton woman, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies responded to a crash at around 8:16 p.m. near Circle Drive East and Cayman Drive in Oswego Township. A 20-year-old woman was taken to Rush-Copley Hospital in Aurora for her injuries, but the driver of the offending vehicle had left the scene, police said.

Police located the driver, John Martinez of Clinton Township, Michigan, at a friend's home on Saugatuck Road, and took him into custody without incident, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report.

Martinez is charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give information or render aid and driving on a revoked license. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improperly passing vehicles in the opposite direction.
