Windsor Park's Christmas Season Program

A Christmas Season Program produced by Bill Phemister, retired professor of music emeritus at the Conservatory of Wheaton College.

Windsor Park, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities, will ring in the holidays with a Christmas Season Program produced by Bill Phemister, retired professor of music emeritus at the Conservatory of Wheaton College. The program is set for Monday, Dec. 1, at 12:30 p.m.

Acclaimed pianists John Zimmerman and Phemister will entertain on the keyboard, performing selections from the Messiah, a jazzy “O Come, All Ye Faithful” in 5/4 time, and a Tango setting of “Sing We Now of Christmas.” Ruth Bamford’s mesmerizing violin playing will accompany seasonal carols sung by the audience, which will include a never-before sung carol by 18th-century poet Hannah More. Guests will be inspired by a selection of Christmas season readings and a devotional talk by Dr. Alan Johnson.

The program is free.
