Woman Convinced Burglar Is Borrowing Her Car

Woman says car radio is set to rock stations which is something she normally wouldn't listen too, cops say.

A Wheaton woman who has had items stolen from her car believes that the burglar is also driving it without her knowledge, reports said.

Police met up with the woman at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of West Roosevelt Road.

The woman told police she had just finished unloading groceries from her 2009 Honda Accord. When she went back to her car to retrieve her jacket, it had been stolen.

She claimed that a month ago, someone in the complex stole the keys to her residence and car. Lately she noticed the odometer reading is also higher, police said.

The woman believes that the person who took her keys also took her coat.

Police said the woman is convinced someone has been using her car without her knowledge because the radio is set on rock stations, which is something she normally wouldn’t listen too.
