WHEATON, IL — On Thursday, a woman was followed home by a man and another woman awoke to find a trespasser in her room, according to Wheaton police.

Police were called to the 600 block of north Scott Street just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday for a criminal trespassing incident. The woman who called told police she heard a noise and woke up to find a man in her room. The man fled the home after the woman woke, police say.

Another woman told police she was running west on Prairie Avenue near Main Street around 7:15 a.m. Thursday, when she noticed a man running right behind her. She said the man kept following her to the 1100 block of north Main Street and was standing in her driveway when she got home.

Police are asking residents who live in the aforementioned areas to view their surveillance footage and call Lieutenant Brian Gabryel at 630-260-2063 with any information.
