Attempted Murder Charge Against Daughter In Wilmette Stabbing

Dinah Larson is accused of stabbing her mother multiple times at a Wilmette home before police found her on foot a few blocks away.

WILMETTE, IL - A 27-year-old woman accused of stabbing her mother multiple times at a home in Wilmette Thursday morning remains in custody on a no bond order, police in the north suburb said Friday. Dinah Larson, of the 1900 block of Highland Avenue in Wilmette faces charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery of a person 60 years or older in connection with the alleged incident.

A heavy police presence descended on the home on Highland Avenue after 911 was called Thursday morning. The victim was stabbed multiple times with a knife and was hospitalized with non-life- threatening injuries. Police say Larson fled the residence on foot and was located and taken into custody shortly after in the 2000 block of Washington Avenue.

Larson is due to make her first appearance in court on the charges Jan. 25 at 10:30 a.m.
