WHAT: Big Blue Swim School is inviting Wilmette-area families to celebrate its continued investment in the local community with a free Grand Reopening event. The celebration follows a series of renovations designed to better serve local families and create an updated, welcoming space for children to learn and grow.
Families can stop by for an afternoon of activities and entertainment, tour the refreshed swim school, meet the Big Blue team and learn more about lesson options as they establish their back-to-school routines.

Wilmette History Museum

The Annual Car Show is back, and this year we are celebrating the history of Japanese cars! Japanese cars entered the United States in the late 1950s, then took off in popularity during the 1970s as oil prices rose and smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles became increasingly popular with American drivers. Today, their impact can still be seen in familiar brands like Honda, Subaru, Toyota, and Nissan, as well as the many models that have become favorites among car enthusiasts.
Come out to see a great selection of Japanese cars spanning various makes, models, and eras, visit the Museum, and enjoy a fun day with the whole family. We’ll have fun family events planned, so stay tuned for more.

This year marks the 21st year of Nicor Gas’ participation in the safety awareness campaign that will run through October, coinciding with National Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 4-10).
