Driver Arrested on DUI Returns to Police Station to Spit on Squad Cars: Cops

William Weir, 21, had vandalism and disorderly conduct charges added after being accused of a spit fit.

The following information is from the Wilmette Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

William Weir, 21, of the 100 block of Park Avenue, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after he registered a blood-alcohol level almost twice over the legal limit during a May 7 traffic stop.

Police pulled over Weir at about 10:53 p.m. in the 1000 Block of Isabella Street because of an equipment violation with his vehicle. During the stop, Weir failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Two passengers in the vehicle—Noah Bucksbaum, 21, of the 500 block of Echo Lane, Glenview; and Ross Brown, 21, of the 1100 block of Virginia Lane—were cited for marijuana possession and released at the scene.
