Youth Connection of Wilmette and The Big Black Dog Tavern & Grill are teaming together to help raise funds for Youth Connection’s after-school programs at Highcrest Middle School and Wilmette Junior High School.
The Big Black Dog Tavern & Grill at 1141 Central Avenue in Wilmette will contribute a portion of all restaurant proceeds from the evening of April 8th to Youth Connection toward the operation of its free, drop-in programs and homework clubs for 5th-8th graders.
Monday, April 8, is championship night of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament so it’s a great night for families to go out for dinner and enjoy the game on The Big Black Dog’s big screen TVs. Dads or moms may want to hang out later and watch the game. A portion of all food and drink proceeds will go to Youth Connection. The restaurant will be open to the public this evening and no advance registration is required. Doors open at 5:00pm. The Big Black Dog offers in-house smoked BBQ, burgers, Mexican fare, and a new, full cocktail bar.
