Five Expectant Mothers Perform Free Concert Oct. 8 and 9 in Evanston and Wilmette
Five mothers-to-be, all professional musicians, perform "What Are YOU Expecting," two free concerts Oct. 8 and 9 in Evanston and Wilmette.
Four professional singers and a pianist, all expectant mothers, perform a one-of-a-kind concert October 8 in Wilmette and October 9 in Evanston in a musical celebration of motherhood.

The performances are free. Donations are appreciated, and a portion of proceeds will be donated to charity.
Families with kids of all ages are encouraged to attend.

Collectively, these melodious mamas have performed all over the world, from Carnegie Hall to major venues across Europe, South America and China, and at the Ravinia Festival, Chicago Symphony Hall and Millennium Park.
The performers and mothers-to-be are:
Rachel Sparrow, soprano, producer
Young jee Cho, pianist
Nathalie Colas, soprano
Amanda Koopman, mezzo sporano
Ingrid Israel Mikolajczyk, soprano
The program notes state, "We believe that families are important, and that our identities as artists are not lost when we become mothers; they are enriched."
Presenting sponsor is the Sorel Organization, a New York foundation that promotes women in the performing arts. Other sponsors include the Evanston Arts Council and the Beinen School of Music.
Through audience donations, the performers hope to raise $1,000 for the Orland Park chapter of Newborns in Need, serving hospitals on the south side of Chicago.
