Man Struck Ex-Girlfriend With Car: Cops
Several charges are handed down to Morton Grove man stemming from incident Thursday night.

A Morton Grove man faces a slew of charges in connection to an accusation he intentionally hit his ex-girlfriend with a car Thursday night at Green Bay Road and Wilmette Ave. in Wilmette.
Officers were called to the scene of the hit and run at 8:06 p.m. and were informed by the victim she was “intentionally struck as she was in the crosswalk by her ex-boyfriend,” according to a police report.
Christopher Popa, 26 was taken into custody at Evanston Hospital, where he eventually went in an attempt to pick up the victim. He was charged on Domestic Battery, DUI-alcohol, Driving while Revoked, Reckless Driving, Transportation of Open Alcohol, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Failure to Render Aid counts.
