New Trier Freshmen to Perform 'Page to Stage'

The Speech and Theatre Department of New Trier High School invites you to Page to Stage, our Freshman Play, on February 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. in the McGee Theatre at the Winnetka Campus.

Page to Stage features adaptations of American short stories by Mark Twain, James Thurber, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Stephen King. Together, the performances offer humor, fantasy, and gleeful revenge.

“This production is a highlight of our season,” said Nina Lynn, Speech and Theatre Department Chair. “The cast is drawn only from our Theatre 1: Theatre Workshop class and it’s a chance for students to show off what they’ve learned this year to their friends and families and for them to come together as a team of performers. It’s a joyous event and a great stepping stone into the rest of their New Trier experience.”

Instructor and director Tom Malouf added: “All the students, regardless of their prior performance experience, are getting the chance to shine in this show. The material is fun, and accessible and the students have really come together as a community.”
