• Village of Medina finds buyer for ladder truck that didn't fit in firehouse (13wham.com) — Wilmette's fire department is set to receive a $2.1 million ladder truck purchased from Medina, New York, after that village discovered the vehicle wouldn't fit in its firehouse. The deal, which includes a broker fee, helps Medina stabilize taxes while giving Wilmette upgraded equipment that could strengthen local fire protection once the truck is placed into service.
