Police: Bed Sheet-Wearing Wanted Man Arrested Near Bahai Temple

Willmette Weekend Police Blotter: Credit card fraud, a parking lot brawl and missing diamond ring.

WARRANT ARREST

On Friday morning, police responded to a call about a subject who had exited the CTA "wearing a bed sheet." After stopping him on Sheridan near the Baha'i temple, officers found him to be wanted on three warrants. They detained the 23 year old man, of the 4200 block of West Cermak in Chicago, before transferring him to bond court.

Friday morning, Wilmette detectives arrested a 23-year-old caregiver at Mather Place on suspicion she fraudulently used the credit cards of one of the residents.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE:

Friday afternoon, a CTA train car was reported tagged with graffiti while parked in the yard at 339 Linden Avenue.

PUBLIC DISTURBANCE:

Early Saturday morning, officers from the Wilmette Police Department responded to a call of five women brawling in the parking lot of the Residence Inn at 3205 Old Glenview Road. But when police arrived, people at the scene admitted there had been some form of altercation but refused to cooperate. They were then asked to leave.

THEFT:
A 27-year-old employee of Christenson's Animal Hospital reported her diamond engagement ring disappeared from on top of a counter near the hospital's treatment area. She reported it stolen on the morning of January 9.
