"A Stroll In The Glow" Theme For Annual Spring Housewalk

Wilmette is holding its 30th annual Spring Housewalk on Sunday.

WILMETTE, IL — The Wilmette Historical Museum announced its 30th annual Spring Housewalk will be held Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This year's walk focuses on homes in an an elegant, tree-lined neighborhood of southeast Wilmette nicknamed "GLOW," after the names of the Gregory, Laurel, Oakwood and Woodbine avenues.

All four homes on the stroll date from the neighborhood's early development around 100 years ago as American residential architecture was breaking away from Victorian excesses to the simplified, Prairie and Craftsman styles.

Visitors will be able to tour inside each home which ranges from a one-story, Arts and Crafts gem to a three-story, Prairie-style sensation.
