Village Board Meeting Lasts 5 Minutes on Night of World Series Opener
It didn't take long for the Wilmette Village Board to zoom through the agenda Tuesday night.

WILMETTE, IL - The village board meeting in Wilmette lasted a total of four minutes, 47 seconds on Tuesday night, according to the Wilmette Life.
The meeting’s extremely short duration was no coincidence. Tuesday night was Game 1 of the World Series, which the Cleveland Indians defeated the Chicago Cubs, 6-0.
To complete the meeting in what could be record time, Village President Bob Bielinski used an omnibus motion in order to approve multiple items on the agenda with no debate in one swift action.
