Wilmette Attorney Named Among Top 50 Women Super Lawyers In IL
Illinois attorney Laura Feldman said the most rewarding part of her work as an employment litigation attorney is empowering her clients.

WILMETTE, IL — Wilmette resident and attorney Laura Feldman was named among the top 50 female Super Lawyers in Illinois.
Feldman, who primarily represents employees who are victims of discrimination or retaliation, has been selected to Super Lawyers since 2020 and has been licensed in the state since 2008.
"There are so many incredible, bright, hard-working, creative attorneys in Illinois, so to be included among them is a real honor," Feldman told Patch. "I work with or across the aisle from a lot of these women, and I know them to be the best of the best. So it's especially exciting to be included in their company."

Only about 5 percent of Illinois lawyers are added to the Super Lawyers list each year. The list serves as a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas.
The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.

Currently, Feldman works for The Prinz Law Firm in Chicago, which is a woman-owned business. In her time at The Prinz, Feldman has represented several employees with whistleblower, sexual assault and retaliatory discharge claims, including in a settlement for more than $1 million for an individual who claimed an instance of sexual assault and a hostile work environment.
During her time working for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Feldman also represented a woman who alleged stalking by a customer who visited her job, which resulted in a $250,000 jury verdict.
Feldman said the most rewarding aspect of her work is working with her clients to help them empower themselves and advocating on their behalf to pave the way to healthier work environments.
"I've worked on a fair number of sexual assault matters, and those stick with you forever because there's just no place for sexual assaults in the workplace," Feldman said.
Feldman is a member of the Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois and the National Employment Lawyers Association in Illinois. She's also a former Board Member and President of the Chicago Appleseed Center for Fair Courts and a former Government fellow to the American Bar Association's Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
