Wilmette Cops Will Get Yearly Raises Through 2018
Agreement between Teamsters, village praised by both sides.

WILMETTE, IL - Unionized police officers in Wilmette will see yearly pay raises through the end of 2018 after a new three-year contract between the village and Teamsters Local 700 was approved this week.
Officers this year will receive a 2.75 percent pay hike retroactive to New Year’s Day and then an additional .25 percent of July 1, according to the Wilmette Life. They will get raises of 2.5 percent in 2017 and 2018.
The contract does eliminate the possibility of using the medical leave buy-back program as supplemental retirement for any officers hired beginning at the start of this year. The annual stipend for evidence technicians raises from $500 to $750.
