WILMETTE, IL — Prepare to get groovy this weekend: the theme of the Wilmette Historical Museum’s annual vintage car show is “Rockin’ the 60s.”

On Sunday from noon-3 p.m., visitors can enjoy popular 60s cars like a 1962 Alfa Romeo 2000, a 1964 Ford Mustang (the first year it was introduced), a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette, and even the Amphicar, an amphibious car that traveled on land and water.

The Historical Society’s Auto Historica car show is free to the public, and sponsored by members, donors, and Wilmette Auto Body, according to the WHS website. Past themes have included classic British cars, classic American cars, and even a COVID-safe vintage car parade in 2020.
