Woman Charged With Felony DUI Over School Crash: Wilmette Crimes

WILMETTE, IL — The following information comes from the Wilmette Police Department as a record of police activity and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent merely accusations by the state and can be dropped or reduced. Anyone named below is innocent unless their guilt is established beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
INCIDENTS
HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 600 block of Pine Street reported that between 7:30 and 8:50 p.m. on Feb. 2 that someone had broken into the back door of their home and ransacked it. Nothing was immediately reported stolen.

STOLEN CAR
Someone stole a vehicle that had been left unlocked with a key fob inside in the 1600 block of Walnut Avenue during the overnight hours of Feb. 2-3. The vehicle was later found empty in Chicago.
THEFT
An employee of an oncologist in the 3200 block of Glenview Road reported that around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 2, someone had entered the office and stolen cash from various places.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 200 block of Sunset Drive reported that someone had damaged ornamental Christmas lights around a home between Dec. 29 and Feb. 2.
FRAUD
A resident of the 100 block of Green Bay Road reported a loss of $350 on Feb. 6 to an online computer scam, sending the money for a purported computer repair program.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 500 block of Linden Avenue reported on Feb. 6 that someone had opened up numerous bank and credit cards using his personal information, apparently from California.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 900 block of Seneca Road reported on Feb. 6 that someone opened up a checking account at Huntington Bank using their personal information.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 28-year-old Dekalb man was arrested at 12:10 p.m. on Feb. 3 after police responded to a traffic crash near the intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Wilmette Avenue and learned that the driver of the vehicle at fault was found to be driving with a suspended license and without insurance.
Monica T. Kamradt, 49, of the 200 block of Pin Oak Drive, was arrested shortly before 9 a.m. on Feb. 5 after police were called to an accident at Highcrest Middle School. While speaking to the drivers, an officer noticed Kamradt seemed and smelled drunk. She failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DUI. She was charged with transporting a child under 18 years of age while intoxicated, a felony, as well as child endangerment and driving without a valid driver’s license.
A 27-year-old Skokie man was arrested at 8:35 a.m. on Feb. 6 after police investigating a traffic crash determined that he did not have a valid license.
