• Judge Steven Nordquist to retire from 17th Judicial Circuit Court (wrex.com) — Residents of Winnebago County will soon see a change on the local bench as longtime 17th Judicial Circuit Judge Steven Nordquist retires July 31 after 30 years of service in Winnebago and Boone counties. A new associate judge will be chosen from licensed Illinois attorneys living in the circuit, with applications due by June 1 and circuit judges making the final selection.
