10th Annual Glencoe Festival of Art

Held in cooperation with the Glencoe Chamber of Commerce, the 10th annual Glencoe Festival of Art will showcase the original work of more than 110-juried artists from across the country in a variety of mediums including painting, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry, and wood. Live music featuring Cirrus Falcon, kid-friendly activities, artist demonstrations, and booth chats to learn more about the artists and their work, make the Glencoe Festival of Art one of the country's most popular! Spend the weekend in the heart of Glencoe enjoying the spectacular art and finding great food from neighboring restaurants along the festival footprint.

In addition to the artwork, festival-goers who are looking for a bite to eat outside the fest will find great food from neighboring restaurants including Guanajuato, An Apple a Day Catering, Guildhall and Foodstuffs, as well as live music all weekend long.

Kids are invited to participate in fun art activities including art fest bingo, spin art, coloring and a graffiti wall. New this year is the Glencoe "Hands Together" Mural Project. Kids and adults of all ages are invited to add their hand print to a community mural showing that Glencoe is a community of unique individuals that are stronger and more unified together. Each participant will receive an 8" x 8" square and a choice of paint colors to create a hand print. The hand prints will become part of a 4' x 8' mural which will be displayed in the community. Painting can be messy, so please dress accordingly. The Glencoe "Hands Together" project will take place from noon - 1pm, both Saturday and Sunday.

For those wanting to be part of the art, folks can step right into a famous painting and take a free selfie! Visit the Amdur Productions' ArtZipper booth where a special "green" screen will be in place for attendees to be part of such world-renowned pieces as Paris Street; Rainy Day by Gustave Caillebotte, Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, Whistler's Mother by James Abbott McNeill Whistler, and several others.

Capture highlights from the Glencoe Festival of Art and win prizes! Attendees who are 18 years and older are invited to take photos during the fest anytime between 10am - 5pm on July 28th and 29th and submit them via email to FestPhotoChallenge@amdurproductions.com. All photos must be taken during that time to be considered. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive gift certificates to purchase art at ArtZipper.com.
