24-Hour Work On Winnetka Avenue Will Cause Delays Through August 7
Size of Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago project to line interceptor sewer requires round-the-clock work.

Temporary traffic detours are expected to affect commuters for westbound Winnetka Avenue in the village of Winnetka from now until Friday, August 7 as 24-hour work begins on the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago’s project to line its interceptor sewer under the street.
The round-the-clock work is necessary due to the size of the project - according to a village of Winnetka press release - but no weekend work is anticipated.
