$3,600 In Saws Stolen From Secured Trailer: Winnetka Crimes

WINNETKA, IL — The following information comes from the Winnetka Police Department as a record of police activity and those arrested by the police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges can be dropped or reduced. An employee at the Winnetka Community House discovered someone deposited several fraudulent checks in an attempt to obtain cash between 9 a.m. on July 31 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 2. There was no immediate reported loss.
BURGLARY

A resident in the 1200 block of Westmoor Road reported on Aug. 4 that sometime between 1:20 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. someone got into a locked trailer and stole two Stihl brand concrete saws valued at $3,600.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 500 block of Sunset Road reported observing a dispute in front of his residence shortly before 2 a.m. on Aug. 7. When the people having a dispute left the area he found his front gate had been damage. Repair costs were not immediately available.
ARRESTS
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 69-year-old Northbrook man was arrested on Aug. 1 in the 600 block of Green Bay Road and charged with driving with a suspended license. He was also cited for failing to signal.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 25-year-old Evanston man was arrested on Aug. 6 in the 700 block of Willow Road and charged with driving with a suspended license. He was also cited for speeding.
