8th Annual Chicago Botanic Garden Art Festival

The summer art festival season continues with the 8th annual Chicago Botanic Garden Art Festival from June 29th through July 1st. More than 95 juried artists from across the country will showcase and sell original work in a variety of categories including ceramics, glass, furniture, photography, jewelry, mixed media, drawing, fiber and more! Live music, kid-friendly activities, artist demonstrations, and booth chats to learn more about the artists and their work, make the award-winning Chicago Botanic Garden Art Festival one of the country’s most popular! What makes this show even more unique is the pristine setting overlooking several lakes, 27 breathtaking garden displays and 385 acres of nature’s glorious majesty. All of the art work featured at this award-winning art festival embodies a botanic theme, use or material.

For those wanting to be part of the art, folks can step right into a famous painting and take a free selfie! Visit the Amdur Productions’ ArtZipper booth where a special “green” screen will be in place for attendees to be part of such world-renowned pieces as Paris Street; Rainy Day by Gustave Caillebotte, Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, Whistler’s Mother by James Abbott McNeill Whistler, and several others.

Attention photographers! Consider entering Amdur Productions’ new Landmarks Photo Contest. Amateur photographers of all ages who live and/or work in Glencoe are invited to submit photos of Glencoe that are meaningful to them. Photos can be an object, a place, or a distinguishing part of the landscape/structure of the village. The significance can be aesthetic, historical, cultural, or personal. Photos must be submitted at least one week prior to the start of the art fest via email to the start of the art fest via email to landmarks@amdurproductions.com.
