• Winnetka Police Launch Blue Envelope Program For Drivers, Passengers On Autism Spectrum (patch.com) — Winnetka police are rolling out a free Blue Envelope Program to help drivers and passengers on the autism spectrum communicate more easily and safely during traffic stops and other encounters. Residents who live, work, or regularly travel through Winnetka can pick up envelopes at the police station, which hold key documents and communication tips officers are trained to recognize. The initiative also positions Winnetka ahead of a similar statewide program planned for 2027.
   

• Think Twice About Mailing Checks: Winnetka, Glencoe Crime Blotters (patch.com) — Recent reports from the Winnetka Police Department detail a mailed check that was altered for more than $5,000 and several arrests involving theft, speeding, DUI, and license violations.
